So as most of y’all know I picked up a 2002 Texas Chopper. Very nice motorcycle overall. I have always liked the look of them and this one was a soft tail which was the key buying point. It rides very nice. BUT I must admit that both of my BigDog choppers handle much more smoothly overall & especially in turns. Just the small differences between two different manufacturers & machines. Just a little food for thought for those looking to purchase a second or third sled. :chopper:IMG_7761.jpeg

I never liked the way the gas tank looked. To long. And if they all come with that rear fender, I don't like that either. But that's just me.
Yeah everyone looks at things differently. I really like that long tank especially in orange with ghost flames. The rear fender with the point was only Texas Chopper model ‘02 to ‘04 I believe then the bikes went to RSD and the rear fender got rounded off like the ridgeback fender. It’s different. As long as I don’t bleed myself on it we will get along fine…

Hello Mr. Mickmorris. FYI AIH also had those pointed rear fenders on their ridgid models "Lone Star Choppers" ( equivalent to Ridgeback) with the 280 mm tires. 04 through at least 06...

Hey JJ yep I do believe you are correct about the rear fender. I have a friend with a ‘04 Texas Chopper (soft tail) and it has the rounded off rear fender. I believe that’s the year they switched.

Hello Mick. I hope I'm correct, last time I looked all three of my LSCs, had the pointed fender. Wasn't to fond of them myself, when I purchased the first one, kinda grew on me. Give your AIH, a fair shake, you just may enjoy it as much as your Doggies.

Hey JJ! Oh yeah I like the bike very much. Are all of yours rigids? Same model? Years? I like this ‘02 Texas Chopper style AIH because of the progressive shocks & swing arm design. Rides super smooth. Has work that still needs to be done to get it to 98% legit. But I enjoy the work and the satisfaction of getting it back to as close to original as possible. Appreciate any & all input from you Brother!
