Bike wants to start by itself

I went to start my 2014 CVO Roadking but the battery was dead. I removed the lithium battery that I bought last spring. When I went to put the battery back in the bike started by itself. The handlebar switch was in the off position. I disconnected the solenoid wire was the only way to stop it.
has anyone experienced this or know how to fix this ?

First and foremost, make sure the positive cable is disconnected from the battery. then remove the cover from the end of the solenoid and inspect the contacts. The disc shaped contact should NOT be contacting the other two contacts at this time. You should be able to pull that disc contact out W/O any resistance, allowing you to check the spring, and clean the disc up with minor effort. then you can also remove and clean the other two contacts, and replace them in their respective spots. The hardest part is just getting it apart and back together . Let us know what you find and how you fixed it.
