Hi guys,
First off, I did a search and didn't quite see what I was looking for. Most people's problems with brake lights is the foot brake light works but issues with the hand brake light.
Well, my issue is a bit different.
I picked up my bike in Oklahoma yesterday. It was a 24 hour strait drive from Nashville to Oklahoma City and back. The brake lights worked fine when I got the bike. Unfortunatly, as soon as we picked the bike up on my open trailer, it started raining, and it was HEAVY rain until we got home this morning. Well, I went home and slept for 3-4 hours. I went back to work (where I left the bike) to clean it up. After 3 hours, she's clean and looks new again but now when I put the key in, the brake light is stuck on. I can push the foot pedal or grab the hand lever and it does not turn off. I turned the bike on and off a few times, and it didn't solve the issue.
Now, I will say I cleaned the calipers but I did not use any chemicals and didn't unplug anything. I just used some micro fiber cloths. The bike did get pretty wet, but we stopped almost immediately after it started raining and pulled the seat off, and covered the whole battery box area with a plastic trash bag we bummed from a gas station.
Any ideas on where to start?
Sorry if this has been discussed. I'm not the best at searching...I did try though.
