Some 107's came with the 600. Put your engine serial number into look-up tool on the S&S website. It should tell you what cam was installed at the factory. If you have the 600, I wouldn't change it. If you have the 520, the 585 is a great upgrade. The 600 will produce a few more top end hp, but the 585 will be a better cam where you spend 90% of your riding time.

How many miles are on your bike? If it's low, you can get away with just changing the cam. If you are up over 20k miles, it would be a good idea to change the lifters. The 520 creates a bunch of compression, so the engine can be difficult to start, even with compression releases. I would recommend the 585. It closes the intake valve slightly later than the 520, so the engine should turn over a bit easier. You won't be disappointed with the 585.

You should be good with just changing the cam then. All you will need is the cam and the cam cover gasket. You can do it yourself. It's not hard. There is a tutorial by member Bowhunter. Do a search. For the parts, go to bigdogpartskingpin.com or wildsteedworx.com. I believe they ship international.

No just removed the Cam Chest cover, swapped cams, and measured the thrust washers/ shims, and then back together.
