Changing Struts

I have a 07 Mastiff,thinking of replacing the polished struts with a chrome pair. Wanted some advice on the easiest way to swap them out,wanted to know whats all involved before I get started. Any advice deeply appreciated.

Need to Remove Struts Too

Hope someone helps us remove these struts. I want to get mine off to take out some scratches.

Removing the struts is easy take out the two bolts on each side and unplug the light harness turn over and remove fender bolts getting the wire out takes a needle...really pretty easy

I know when I painted the rear fender on my '05 Chopper, the fender had to be removed first. This meant disassembling the wiring for the taillights/brake light by the battery. I marked what each wire was for (right turn signal/right brake/etc.). You could either cut the wires and resplice when you assemble, or get an electrical pin extractor and remove the invidual pins/wires from the connector.

Once the fender was off (by removing the bolts on the strut at the frame), the struts were removed by unbolting from the fender, from inside the fender, and removing the turn signals/stems.

What do you mean "turn over" and I assume you an electrical needle when you state I need a needle?
