So i recently trailered my 05 mastiff out to the west coast so i could get some ride time in for the rest of the winter. ( from midwest )

First I got a nice little chip in my rear fender. That sucked. I managed to get it down to a painter today in oakland. guy named Tim who has a shop out in HAYWARD near OAKLAND. I mention this because he took his time out to hook me up in the parking lot with some temp patch work until i can get the proper resources together for a re-painted fender. So thanks Tim.!

On my way back, Apon entering the on-ramp i felt a slight pop or snap vibration in my clutch lever.I actually thought i heard it snap up by my left thumb but i could be wrong. The clutch lever went a little limp after that. I still shifted and apon getting off the highway i could find nuetral fairly easy. But as the bike was in gear with the clutch engadged it was trying to creep forward a little bit.

I got it back and tied to shift it out of nuetral and i get a lurch and it stalls.

Can anyone give me a better understanding of where i need to start tomorrow?

yea prolly. more interested if it might be a proplem in the controls or in the boot. Have not had a chance to crack anything open as she lives in a storage unit with little to no lighting. almost no tools at the moment. trying to cut down on the places i dont need to be looking.

And if i need to adjust , any quarks i might run into that are Big Dog specific. ie: things to look out for ect.

I had the same problem with my 06 Mastiff. Thought cable had stretched. Not so. When I adjusted the clutch rod I noticed that when it was all the way in before backing it out a half turn it felt like there was sand in the end where the clutch rod hits the throw out bearing. Pulled the clutch plates out and found that the throw out bearing was wasted. This happens when the clutch pushrod rides against the bearing. Was told that this bearing is only available from Big Dog. I turns out that the throw out bearing is the same one used in late model H.D. Sportster. The Big Dog part # is 122-00000-6,And the H.D. Part # is 8885 and cost about half of what Big Dog charges
