Custom Cycle Controls and headlight

I have TheDeadOne helpin me on this also, thank you Dead, but I thought multiple heads can be, I did say "Can Be", better than one or two so I am throwin this out here.

I have "Custom Cycle Controls" on my ride. If you don't know what they are then look them up:

Climax Controls - Hidden Internal Motorcycle Hand Controls

They incorporate momentary switches for everything but the high low beam switch which is a latch switch built into the left hand grip. Twist it forward for one light level, back for the other.
My issue is they use a relay to deal with the latch switch issue and our BDs use momentary and the EHC to switch between High and Low beam.
I want to get rid of the relay, or not if I have to keep it, and get back to allowing the BDs EHC to control the headlights.
Now I know there are purists on this site that will say "Ditch the EHC", "Less is more" but I have my reasons for sticking with the EHC so all I am really looking for are serious answers and ideas, on this site "Yeah Right".

SO I have found an additional wire that feeds from the Latch switch

I know we have some Ex BD engineers on this site. Can you answer my question? Will holding the ground cause problems with the EHC?

Wish I could answer the question for you but that's way out of my league.

I think I have the answer now I just need some verification from someone who knows these EHCs inside out. I would send an email to BD but I already no their just going to say NO because it is a risk issue for them.

By the way what do you think of my new signature.

I was outside earlier and looked up and saw the most beautiful Bald Eagle circling overhead. Awesome site and your signiture reflects the majestic nature of this bird.

Done that just waitin

The shop bypassed the EHC for the air ride and installed a momenary toggle to activate air ride so I think I am going to abandon the grip latch switch, rewire to the BD harness and use the momentary to control the headlight that way I can still use the factory setting for the air ride.
