Dead K9 EHC, Wire-Plus swap out New Mech

Hey, got 3 questions for you all. My stock (except for Hooker Troublemaker pipes) died out on the hwy going about 75 mph. Made it to the shoulder ok. Mech said my battery is not getting a charge. I ordered the Wire-Plus unit to swap out the damned EHC. so question 1. will that take care of my issues?
2. is it better to use their connectors or to hard wire the setup?
3. I live by the GWB in NJ. Chrome and Custom went out of business and i need a new service shop. Bergen HD treats us like second class citizens. Any recommendations?

NO to question #1, Charging the battery is not a function of the EHC. Load test the battery!!! It could now be bad and no longer charging.

There are threads here on testing for charge voltage.

You must have a GOOD battery that holds 12.8 volts or more once off the charger for an hour.

The voltage regulator and/or the stator (generator) will cause a no charge condition.

There is also a in-line circuit breaker with the voltage regulator and the battery + terminal. There should be 12+ volts on both sides of that breaker all the time with reference to ground.

Ok, will looked into that. is there a reset to that circuit breaker? I thought the EHC was the 'brains' of the entire electrical system and that if it crashed it would cause other issues.

Sounds like the voltage regulator and/or the stator or breaker.

Don't recall if my 07 Bulldog does, don't think so (it's a thermal breaker/reset type). But if it has a little BLACK button on it...push it to reset it.

Like I said.....test it. THIS IS AN "07" DIAGRAM.
