Not enough information! Like any other vehicle if it's dead then suspect the battery. How long has it been sitting and has it been on a tender?

if nuttin comes on I'd check the key switch.. then work down the line.. but only if the battery is full charged,.. & dont jump it off...

Insert title here...
i check to se if i had power going to the switch and i dont
I would short the two wires at the key switch together and see if the bike turns on. You won't have power at the switch (at least not 12V) since it switches a ground signal to the EHC.

The number one thing, Capital Letters " DO NOT JUMP IT OFF!" Beyond that I agree with everyone on starting at the Switch.

I dont have a clue what it is but I completley unhooked the battery and left it unhooked over night. went back out the next day hooked everything up and had power bike started fine. Any ideas?

No didnt do do anything but completely unhook the battery for almost 24 hrs. Yhe guy I bought the bike from said it happened to him several times and the dealership he bought it from couldnt figure it out either. He said it would never happen while they had it.

disconnecting the battery, and then reconnecting it and now it works, is like hitting a reset button on something. Does the EHC have a reset?

I dont know if it does or not I cant see one but I didnt take any of it apart either. I was hoping some one on here would be able to tell me all i can see is the two black boxes on top of it with two screws holding each one of them to it

Rottie1, check all your connections. You could have a bad crimp or even a broken wire in the insulation. Especially check the positive wire going to the ehc. Unhooking and re-connecting could have just move things and made contact again. Also unhooking and re-connecting could have reset the ehc which could be the sign of another problem causing the ehc to kick out. But start with the simple things first, also check the connections at the ehc for corrision caused by moisture getting in there and while you got it opened up coat everthing with dielectric grease. Also like said earlier you can by pass the key switch to rule it out, I did with a simple toggle switch temporarly then replaced with an HD switch. Hope this helps, let us know what you find.
