I have an 04 big dog chopper that Ive ridden for 2500 miles without any problems. Well now I have one and need some advise. I noticed the left turn signal fault light coming on with the ignition off every once in a while. Now its always on with the switch off. Have checked all wiring and led bulb. Everything works when the bike is running. Also no fault when the bike is running. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Check your connections

Tobster have you washed it or gotten it wet recently? Check your connections. Take your left handlebar switch housing apart and make sure your mini board is clean. Use dielectric grease on all connections. Also make sure there's no fault at each of the light connections. Chase all the little stuff before you wind up at the EHC.

If you have a shop manual, they have a good set of schematics you can trace out the wires in & out of the ECH Its not that hard to test, It just takes some time.

Im thinking EHC. I have washed the bike but I pulled apart the connectors under the tank and the ehc no water in them. I do have a service manual and the way I understand it works is the ehc shouldnt sense a fault unless the ignition switch is on. Thats the part I dont get.

If you look at the schematic you will see it has some latching relays, It may have one stuck, the lights come if you have a short or a open as per. the book. But if it cones on after key is turned off is like you have a back feed. I have the same bike my ECH is bad as soon as I get the money say GOOD BY to it HELLO wireplus.

Hey bigdogbro1 I checked out the left handler bar control and wiring. Ohm'd out all the wiring from the handler bar to the ehc and from the turn signal to ehc. All wiring looks good. Road it last night now light is not coming on. Pretty sure It wasnt a bad connection so I will keep an eye on it and see if it comes back on.
