Electrical question

I have an 06 Ridgeback all electrical recalls done. Side note I have added a Scorpio alarm. My question is when I start the bike the alarm will sound about 50% of the time. I am guessing that its the battery. It seems to do that even when I have the battery on the tender every night. I tested the battery and it ranges from 12.8-13.5. With that being said I have seen it drop lower. Even though the bottery reads 12.8 could the CCA not be high enough and the alarm needs more juice? Any input would be appreciated.

Voltage is one thing, and yours looks to be in the good range.

But amperage is a whole different area of the battery in the determination of whether it's good or not. And with these dogs it's a MUST to be good.

Have your battery load tested to see what battery life is left in it. :2thumbs:

Plus, if you need to get a new battery, a higher CCA battery can't hurt seeing that you've added the alarm to the electrical system. :2thumbs:

dead

Thanks for the quick reply.:2thumbs: I will just break down and get a new HD or one of the other good batteries mentioned on the site before.
