Final Drive Belt

Bought this belt 12 years ago. Bought from S&S, it’s a Gates belt. Need a new one. Looking around Eastern Performance has for $241.00. Guy said been on shelf for couple years. Still shopping around but my Question is .. is there a born on date stamped on these belts or is a year or two old ok to run? Any input appreciated.

Fwiw, I have oem belts on both 04's.

Yeah I don’t think S&S has a date stamp on their belts. The only drive belt I have changed is on my vintage sport. It’s a Carlisle belt. They do have manufacturer date codes on their belts. You can see the original one was dated 15th week of 2002. The new one is dated 9th week of 2020. Dayco/Carlisle have merged.They now are Timken Belts I believe. Good belts though. Hope it helps. Since they rarely need replacing any you find will have probably sat on the shelf a couple of years or more.
