fork bearing keep busting

Since I got my 04 Chopper back from the factory recall fix, I went to have my bike worked on. The mechanic had to drop my forks at the neck to fix the problem and noticed the lower bearing in the neck was busted. No explanation it was just broke.That was in 2009 before we went to Sturgis. This past May right before the ROT rally my mechanic put on a set of Martin Brother Madussa pipes. While he had it I asked him to call me when he was done with the pipes, I wanted to drop the forks and check the lower neck bearing again. Sure enough it was busted again. So every yr I am checking it. Has anyone else had this problem, or know whats going on here?

Never heard of this happening so I think you need to ensure the right size bearing and races are going in. You might think about having a different shop look at it for you also. I've posted the PDF files on here for the whole front end.
