Frame Paint

After removing the exhaust bracket for the Vance & Hines exhaust I noticed that i have a bare spot on the frame that will need touching up. . Looks like the belt was once out of adjustment.

Question; Is the frame on an 06 K9 powder coating or regular paint? I thought I read somewhere that it was powder coating, but I also thought powder coating had the 'powder' texture.

The original factory finish had a gelcoat like primer under the paint. Filled in the weld areas and added a bit more dia. Powdercoat can come in all kinds of finish just like normal paints.

Can regular paint be used on top of powder coating for a minor touch up?

Yes, I have done it. Very difficult to blend, I would generally paint the entire surface up to a weld or an area it will not show. Need to clean and scuff the surface to prep it.
