When I removed the Gas cap neck from my tank it had a rubber gasket and also had a sealant on the threads. What type of sealant should I use when I reinstall it?

Any help would be appreciated!! :2thumbs:

Thanks,

Jb weld.
Make sure you mix the two parts good.
You can warm it with a heat gun or hairdryer to make it easier to work with.
Not hot just warm.
Give it at least a full 24 hours to set.

Just putting this info here for anyone that searches it in the future.
To get mine off I took an old 1/8 inch flat piece of steel and drilled two 1/8 holes in it 2 1/2 inch apart. Put 2--1/8 roll pins in it to use as a removal tool.
I heated the saver with a heat gun and it twisted right out.
