sorry me again.
i was out to day and while riding there was a banging and scraping noise coming from round the clutch area. when i pull the clutch in you can only turn the clutch round by hand about 3/4 of the way before it jams.
i have just fitted a new clutch and have looked at the plates and they are fine.
seems to be jamming up. and if you put it in gear and let out the clutch it makig a grinding noise and feels like it is jamming.

the bike has a bdl open primary.
6 speed box dont know the make
