Hand Control replacments?

Does anyone make a kit or anything to convert our existing handcontrols from digital to analog? At 53k I replaced the EHC with KMW's replacement, but I would like to do a re-wire taking the EHC out completely, but want to keep the original hand controls...

This isn't something I'm looking at doing right now, it's just a thought I've been bouncing around.

If I'm reading your question right, you want to retain the push-button (momentary) switches, but wire them into a standard Harley module?

If so then Thunderheart indeed does make a switch. EA4093 and it's only about $30.

Your other route is ditch the BD bars for Harley and go with the standard Harley controls and forget the switch. Although KMW replacement is really a thunderheart module. I don't think there's been any failures I've seen once it's been installed so they appear quite robust.

Very interesting.... so, you say I "could" dumb my EHC (at a later date if I wanted), and retain my stock BD hand controls by using this module connected to either 1) standard Harley Wire harness, or 2) self made very simple wiring harness?

You could do either but really it's already been dumbed for you with the RIP kit.

You RIP uses a thunderheart Harley switch and appears to integrate internally the additional momentary switch as well.

Now if you want to go home grown that's a different ball of wax. Certainly feasible but Its kind of a pain the ass to make it look neat with all the relays you will need to get lights, flashers, etc to all work.

Lol or like mine. Harley bars and controls. It has headlight high and low, compression release, tail and stop lights, and starter and coil wires. All fits in my tiny little battery box.

Blinkers??

I mean, it seems like you nailed everything except blinkers... and a horn is pretty damn simple to wire up. But I really want to keep my bars and hand controls...

Wish someone made internal replacements for the big dog hand controls... pull out the circut boards and covers, and replace with analog switches/buttons.

Don't forget to add some "made in China" Harley badges to it after the transformation. OR, you could just keep it stock and have a reliable, US designed and built, system that works flawlessly if maintained right. Simple really.....

Didn't have blinkers when I bought it. Hand signals so far. As far as made in China, the parts are joker machine I believe but never looked into where those are made. They came on it also.

Are you talking about turn signals? Or Blinkers? If you're talking about blinkers, all you need is BLINKER fluid....bwahahahahahah...sorry, had to say it.....
