08mastiff Active Member Sep 21, 2011 #2 The 2008 manual states when you reassemble the handlebars to apply loctite 2440 to the 1/2-13 x 2-1/2 screws and to tighten it to 65 ft lbs. That is for all the models. Gonna assume it is probably the same for your 04. Good Luck.
