Handlebar wiring question

2000 bulldog, going to be changing bars and will need to extend wiring. Are the wires currently one piece or are there connectors somewhere? Ive redone a bunch of wires but havent seen the bar wiring.

Looks like wires go from the controls to the ehc so cut and extend it is.

On my 08 K-9 there are connectors under the tank.

They must have changed around 04. What kind of connectors? I have mine all extended but want to add connectors for future.

the 05 and above all used JST connectors -- PITA connectors to use in my opinion, crimping them is a pain.

Haha ya, i did a connector with them, even with my reading glasses on i can barely see them!

New bars are on. I can see over my shoulders in the mirrors now, and they are steadier now too.
