Head light problem

Noksie and I were out for a ride sunday, and after a hard accelaration from a stop my head light switched to the high beam. I would hit the low switch and it will just flicker. Checked the battery connections and took the plastic piece off from in the middle of my tank and checked things out there. All seems good, but I did find three wires in a group that goes to a connector but not landed to anything. They are black, red, and yellow. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Check the socket in the headlight bucket. You may need the ceramic replacement. Yours may have melted.

That three pin plug that isn't plugged into anything is an empty tach port that isn't used.

The vibration from the hard take off may have just broke the low beam filament in the bulb.

The EHC will auto switch it to high beam when it pops like that.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious to me. I look at the things harder then they are sometimes. I will get a new bulb tomorrow at work and try that, and will let everyone knows. Thanks again for the help.

I had that same problem while on a road trip---ground wire in headlight housing broke..

Thanks for all the advice, and it was just the low filament of the bulb. Put a new one in and it was good as gold. Can't take not riding for long since I don't ride moto anymore. Thanks again everyone.
