help with carb

I have a 08 mastiff with the "G" carb and when i twist the throttel i get a little squirt of gas the comes out of the spring area in the pics --- what is that and how do i fix that.

It's your accelerator pump, and if you fix it the bike will run like shit. In other words, it's normal.

Looks like the boot for the accelerator pump is wet with fuel. Diaphram may be punctured.

That rubber bellows is the seal for the acelerator pump rod.

No he means if you stop the pump from squirting fuel, it would run like crap. rebuild it and your golden. XXX card mod is the shit though. Great upgrade.

that what it was ---the diaphram was not punctured but was not seated well thankx for the input :flag::2thumbs::2thumbs:

i had he same thing six months ago i called Bob at xxx and he fixed me up with all the o rings and gaskets seals new bellows and diaphram was real inexpensive if i remember correctly he did give me one major tip and that was when you install the diaphram put some silicone grease on the rubber so it doesnt pinch when installed it will slip in to place easier without damaging the new parts when sinched down and also gave me the heads up about the little ball valve an be real carefull when you pull it apart which for me was golden advice
