Help with fuel tank bung 08' Pitbull

I have had problems with paint bubbling around my paint saver. (hard to believe, I know):angry: I have it at a shop to be repaired and the paint saver is cross threaded. Looks like it's going to cause a lot of damage to get her out. I was wondering if it would be possible to center the cap? Since it's going to tear it up anyway, I might as well center it and perhaps put in a matt hotch pop up? I just wasn't sure if the design of the 2008 Pitbull tank would allow that?

I had the same problem, bigdog fixed under warranty, and repainted the tank.

Big Dog has offered to remove it if I send it in. Warranty has expired. They are always good to help out. Glad you got yours fixed.

Had the same problem with my 08 pit bull. They recognize it's an issue and seem to be taking good care of the customers. I sent my tank in twice and the third time I made them send me a new one before I sent it back since it was still warm with 2 months left of riding. It took several conversations to get this completed.
