How can this happen from one bubble

This started as 1 bubble I've been building this bike waiting on motor to come in so I poked with pin and super glue to secure covered bike up 2 months later it had chicken pox no fuel in tank for 2 yrs paint was done prior to me getting it I don't think it's bc of fuel! Yes I've seen many posts of this sort of think but why did it multiply so rapidly

If you are going to re paint it I would suggest using Airbrush Ed, he is a member here and does outstanding work.

I've discovered the issue it turns out this tak is so far gone it's actually got pin holes in every location the bubbles are in I'm just getting cap off and seeing how bad it actually is SMH it's sad bc it was a nice tank now barely wall art
