How To Change Struts

Whats the easiest way to change struts. Want to change out the polished ones for chrome. Just wanted to know whats all invovled as far as removing the lights on the end of the struts. Any help deeply appreciated.

unplug the tail lights under the seat.

Remove the 4 bolts holding the struts to the bike.

Then swap everything over. You got 3 bolts per side holding the struts to the fender and 1 bolt per tail light... easy job.

In addition, I "think" you may have to remove the connectors from the signal lights in order to get the cable out - use a pin or grind a paper clip to a sharp point to help remove them. If you have a short memory like me - label which wire goes - Left n Right along with the the color pin outs.
