how to measure the slack in the primary chain

Hello, I checked out some of the other threads and I understand how to adjust the primary chain but I am unsure as to where you actually take the measurement for the slack that is needed.Any help would certainly be appreciated.thanks,Bob

Hi Bob, This should help ya out. I would recommend picking up a Service Manual although not as complete as it should be it's still very helpful.
