How wide is the rim for a 300 mm tire?

I have a 07 Bulldog with the 300/35/18 tire on the rear. How wide is the rim? I am wanting to convert the width to a car tire size to do a test. Pro or con about a car tire on a bike is mean less here and what I need is a conversion for the wheel width if you know what it is....

I corrected the tire size above, said 40 but now showing 35.....
My Bad..

Are you sure its a 40 series and not a 35 series tire?

Car tire won't match the contour of your fender and will be flat across. You won't be able to turn the bike to save your ass in a corner. Why ruin a perfectly good look and great handling bike?

I wish I had more money.
Proxes do kick ass. Neil do it if you want. I have givin serious thought to it. Let us know. I bet it won't handle as bad as you may think.

Jake thats a simple answer...
Because I can....and perhaps the fender is not in the equation for what I want to do..

My bad, you are correct...:2thumbs:
It is a 35 series. When I started the thread I had the BDM 2007 manual on the table and for the Bulldog it stated it has a 40 series. I should of known better, I've put 3 tires on the bike..

PROXES R888 | Toyo Tires
Put an r888 on it, you will be lucky to spin it at all. I run two 335/30/18's on my Camaro and they hook nice.
I will give them a look Vegas, Thanks..
I have Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 295/35ZR18 tires on the back of by Z06 Corvette and they break loose if you turn the traction control off and bang on it....

I am not worried about what anyone thinks and they probably don't know how I use the bike anyway. I have a local shop right down the road that I can have a tire radius-ed is what I am wanting to check out anyway to see the difference in the profile of the tire sides and the look on the bike. Everyone is due their opinion I just want data to go with mine..:D
I wanted to do this last winter and never got a chance so now it is the time to get ready and see....

yes, the 300 tire converts to the 11.8110 inches but that is not the question. the inside lip to inside lip of the wheel was the question. roughly 10.5"+-

The R888 can be shaved so it would work. It's a 100 treadweear, so I'd expect half the normal tread life on the street.

Vegas,
They are some nice tires and I have looked at them and I will give them a call and talk to them about what I want to do. You can get a discount if you buy two but I need one. The tire I need to run on the 10.5 inch rim is the same size I run on the back of the vette as well, 295/35/18. The tire diameter is 26.1 inch which is the same as the Avon 300/35/18.
On a side note I have also ordered a new Avon Cobra tire as well to check it out after the car tire data collection run. I have a couple of bike rallies coming up here in my area in September and one of them being held at the local 1/8th mile drag strip in Clarksville TN.

I may turn the dog loose here and need another tire as well..
I am checking into the All Harley drags to see if I can get in held in Bowling Green Kentucky but it is my weekend to work and do not know if I can get out of that...

The more miles I rack up the more I like them. They seem to have gained traction. I can pretty much nut my car in 1st gear on the street and not spin. That's 500/500 at the tires. I had pilot sports on there before and couldn't get traction in 2nd some of the time. You would have nearly twice the tire per horse that I do.:2thumbs:
