I cannot keep my 05 mastiff running

What's up guys so here's the deal I just picked my bike up from the shop for this same problem. I was told my VR was bad and was cookin my battery so the tech replaced it. The problem I am having is when I'm riding the bike for a little while it just shuts off, the tach lights go all he way up and down back forth then stops but the bike is not running. Now I have no power what so ever on my bike. When I turn the key on I see the oil light flicker real dim and real fast, almost not even on. The weather has been so nice out and I just wanna ride my bike but I can't keep the damn thing running. I'm bringing it back to the shop where it was and gonna have them go through it again. Does anyone know what my problem might be.

Check all your wires and connections, see if they are frayed or disconnected.

Sounds to me like your charging system isn't working correctly. Have to troubleshoot the charging system first and find out why your eating batteries.
