I have a 2004 Big Dog Chopper with a stock 107in S&S motor. I rebuilt the motor and now I'm ready to set the timing on the ignition. My cam sensor doesnt have any type of markings or lights to let me know when it is at TDC. How do I set it at TDC?

Thanks!

See the dimples in the housing and the notch in the cam sensor plate? Line up the notch with the middle dimple -- that should get it started. After that, loosen the hold-downs and rotate the plate to get the timing you need.

It's what's worked for me in the past....I'm sure someone out there has a more complicated procedure.

could pull the site plug on the left side of the case to find T:F and see how that coordinates with your ign plate.

best way to set timing is with a timing light. but instead of using the site hole and taking an oil bath there is a trick way to mark the motor sprocket and the inner primary cover with coordinating // and T:F marks then shoot that with the light. works real well. thats how i did mine to get 28' BTDC.
