Install Forward Control extensions

I have a 2009 WOlf, and have ordered the 2.5 in forward control extensions. No problem on shifter side. On brake side, instructions say to use socket and remove "banjo fitting bolt" from bottom. Problem being, on the 09 Wolf there is a wire harness attached to the bottom of the banjo bolt, so not only can you not use a socket (no issue, box end wrench works just as good), but lossiening the bolt twists the wires to the point I am worried I will break before the bolt is removed. Has anyone tried this procedure on this bike yet? Thanks all.

Seems to be glued in, maybe? I went ahead and took a chance. Got of out and installed the fwd control plate. Now issue is I need to bleed brakeline... Can't get all the air out. No back brake at all. Need special tool to successfully complete? Thanks a ton. Brent

I was able to use the extensions without using the brake line extension and breaking into the brake line

 .

for bleeding the brakes put the fluid in through the bleed nipple with a syringe. Get the fluid in and top up the master cylinder. Then a couple of quick bleeds and you're done. Simple.

I wish I had more money.
I put the extensions on mine and couldn't get it bled at first. I didn't have the thing tightened down enough where the little copper or brass washer is.

Resurrect old thread.

I just put mine on last night and had the same problem with the little wired sensor on the banjo bolt. No way to get around it unless you follow the wire back in the loom and disconnect. By the time you get the banjo out, that dual wire connection is wound up tighter than a 10 day clock. Then when you put it back together you have to wind it back up so it's loose when you finish. Pain in the ass when everything is coated in DOT5. Brake bleed was very easy and only took a couple of pumps to get it clear. Bike is waaaay more comfortable now. Almost as nice as a chopper now.....LOL.

No doubt a pain in the ass, but well worth it. Much more comfortable is right. I ride 3 hours to beach with no problem. Glad it worked out.
