Kickstand

Mr. Wright

Knows some things
This is for those of you who are tired of putting a block under your kickstand. A guy send me his kickstand with a picture of how high of block he uses.
So here is our subject matter for today.

Started by welding a jig to the table, so I could make sure the foot was pointed in the right direction, when welding it back up.

IMG_20210710_115241.jpg

Passed the point of no return.
IMG_20210710_115803.jpg

Drilled a pilot hole in the foot.
IMG_20210710_121734.jpg

Did the same for the leg.
IMG_20210710_121742.jpg

Made a piece to go in the middle.
IMG_20210710_124215.jpg

Welded it up.
IMG_20210710_125127.jpg

Turned it back down to size.

Ready for the chrome shop. Hopefully Terry will post a picture of it on his bike.

Eric said they are working on a longer kick stand, but it is still about a year out before they get any. So I have acquired a couple kick stands. One is spoken for already. I don't know how much the chroming will be, so I don't have a price. But what I plan on doing is a kick stand exchange. You tell me how high you need it to be I'll make it, send it to you and then you send me your old one back, so I can use it for the next guy.
I will tell you up front that the ones Eric is having made will have a lot better chrome.
