Left Turn Signals Not Working

Energy One

Hey guys, my left turn signals are not working (front and back). The running and brake lights work but not the left signals. I checked the wiring and looks fine and not pinched anywhere. I switched the right side signals into the left and still have the same issue. The left control board and buttons look good. The EHC lights for the left signal are on per diagram and picture below. Gonna try to reset the EHC next. Any other ideas? 07 BDM Bulldog. Thanks!

Pull right rear turn signal and check what each of the wires are doing when the turn signal is on other words power ground which one is flashing when the turn signal is supposed to be on, then do the same to the left side if things are okay at the wiring it might be in the bulbs themselves but not likely this way you can find out what you're missing, power or ground.

As carefreeinaz states it's likely the board on the handlebars.
Since the brake lights are working the odds of it being in the EHC are very very very slim. It's the same "filament" for turn and brake on those lights. So the most likely culprit is the EHC is not getting the signal from the handlebars to turn on the turn signal.

If while you have the switches out, you can test by using a wire from the ground to each of the other pins and watch/listen for that function. This will tell you if it is switch or between handlebars and ehc.

You guys were right... It was the left button contact that was bad. I peeled off the clear membrane on the board, pulled out the button plaque, scratched/sanded the button and connectors, taped it back and it works. Don't think much humidity will get in there. I'll replace both control boards later when the other buttons go cuz that sh!t is $150 on Ebay... Thanks for the input everyone!

When I went the Farm I lost function of one of that style switch in my Dakota Digital Speedo -- At least $60 for them to look at it, plus shipping (both ways) so I opened it up and replaced it with a real switch, used some silicone to seal it and its working like a charm -- switch is more reliable than when the thing was new!

We now have right hand boards ONLY with or without buttons and rubber membrane. Obviously still have complete sets in pairs. Lots of options! Pairs are now $130 and right hand board only option start at $70

HDM has been working on this for a while to invest in getting the tooling for the boards redone to unsister the left and right. To be able to offer to customers just the right hand board that wears more often than the left just due to more use. Previously had to sell them in sets because they had to be made in complete sets (both left and right board).

Check out all the new options for your hand control switch needs at the link below.

Now taking a stroll down memory lane I remember back around 2014 after Big Dog Performance Products went out of business there wasnt a new PCB board around and if you could find a right hand board alone it was in the $300-400 range for a used one, if not more! If you have just bought your bike in the last 5 years you might not have seen those days!

It's a hell of a lot easier & cheaper to get them these days...lol
