I have looked everywhere and can’t find it. Anyone have 1 or can point me in the right direction? 08 K9 EFI Would like a chrome Spike or something similar. Thanks
Btw: I know the pros and cons as I had one on my 07 and had no problems. It was a carb bike tho. The EFI is the problem

HDM has spikes, but they say they only fit carb bikes. It seems to me that they should fit EFI as well. The bolt pattern on the EFI throttle body is the same as an E or G carb. The back plate on the stock air cleaner is the same for carb or EFI. If that is interchangeable, then the spike mounting plate should be also. Maybe call them and ask some questions.

I agree it may work...the spacing on the efi and carb are different...from the face of the carb to where the back plate bolts to the heads is alot shorter than on the efi...long enough bolts and adding more spacers should work on the efi.

Thanks guys. With over 16k members on this forum I was hoping someone who has EFI would share
True, but there are probably only a couple hundred members that check in on a regular basis. Of those people, how many have EFI? 10% at most? Of those people with EFI, how many have installed a spike? Probably just a few. I'm sure someone here has done it, but they may not be here very often.

That is true. The law of average at work. Plus my luck sucks lol. Thanks for your help.

Parts and accessories for our bikes are getting harder to find. Everything’s for Harley’s. Suppose it much more profitable to produce hundreds of something for bikes of many than the stuff for just us few. Doesn’t help the disappointment any but I get it.

Today I got a response back from blow exhaust directly only to be informed they offered nothing for my “style” bike yet Barnes performance has it just in the wrong finish. Go figure

They are only making exhaust for H-D now. Glad you called Andrew. He’s a legit BigDog Guru.

Still need a good looking air filter. Not a fan of the stock one. Any suggestions anyone?
A lot of guys have the S&S dual runner. It's a good performer and looks great. Unfortunately, S&S quit making them for the evo engines. I have the forcewinder. It's a proven performer. There is a company that makes covers for it to give it a little bling. I've always been a fan of the classic look of the S&S teardrop. For that, all you have to do is swap out the BDM cover for the teardrop cover.

The EFI throttle body is a unique bolt pattern for some reason.

There is an adapter but it’s ~1/2 thick, which I do not care for, since it pushes the air cleaner even further into your leg.

My previous air cleaner was a standard Harley, I redrilled the bolt pattern to match the EFI.
Worked well, but since the backplate is flat it still stuck out too far for me.

My latest is I modified the original convex back place, from oval to round and use a modern 6” element and cover. Sits tight and flows well.

The cone filters are notorious for being restrictive.

Thanks for your help. I have spent hours on end searching to no avail. Suppose I will be sticking with the stock one for now unless someone has a better option. Not likely that will happen. Thanks again
