Loose Throttle Cable

Energy One
I took my 2008 BDM to the shop to get some work on the carb and other things done. When I got it back my throttle cable is just hanging now. Does anyone know the steps to readjust the cable?

Simple fix. Small wrenches to loosen the jam nut on the cable. Expand the cable(hold one side and unscrew) until its seated. Then tighten the jam nut.

Looking at the picture it has a lot of slack. If you remove the right side hand grip do a search first. There is a very small Allen screw that holds the front brake switch in. Better to know this before you start!! Ask me how I know.

Your lucky you got home safe. Those cables push and pull simultaneously and if it got stuck opening the throttle Only the coolest of riders could shut down without issue. You have good Karma on your side for sure!!!

Looks to me, like the little C-clip came off the cable that holds it inside the housing. Take the housing apart, retrieve the C-clip, make sure it's a tight press fit on the cable, and reassemble the housing.
