My 04 RB has been popping more on decel then normal I just noticed that on top of the carb I am missing a hose it looks to me it may just be a vent, there is another fitting on top of the carb and it is capped off with a rubber boot the there are 2 fittings om the top of the carb the one towards the back of the bike is capped off the one towards the front has no hose or cap on it is this correct or should it have a cap or hose on it?

Joe, Thought you were going offline "great to have you back" as far as the hose is concerned, do you have the stock air filter? if you have a stock air filter the hose should connect on both sides of the mounting bracket and connects in the middle of the backing plate to the filter. post some pics some one here will help
