need some help brothers

Bought my BD 2001 Husky a week ago,was running fairly well. Then the speedo started acting up.Then speedo died.Now engine sputters for a second when twisting the noise maker(throttle). Any ideas where to start.This is my first American bike. Last bike was a Hayabusa. Always have done my own service and mods/paint. Please and thanks from the Canadian boy.

Check battery and connections. A weak battery will cause havoc. If it looks old, just get a new one and get a battery tender also.

New battery and the accel pump might be clogged.
