Ok i have an 06 ridgeback im thinking my ehc is fried but want to pick some brains to confirm....symptoms are as followed

I went to install a new battery and when i hooked it up it threw a big spark....(like not normal when connecting a batt it was BIG) anyways didnt think much of it but i went to turn my key on and i had nothing no tach,no headlight, etc....now all 4 turn signals are on, key on or not it wont crank it wont do anything i have to unhook the battery to get the lights off...i have checked and cleaned all connections...i dont see anything obvious on the ehc and i have pulled it out and looked at it....cleaned and re dielectric greased the connectors....

so that being said what are your thoughts?

Disconnect the battery again and leave disconected for a few minutes. This sometimes resets the EHC. Also check your breaker to make sure it's not popped...:2thumbs:

Sounds like you may have a wire that may be loose or grounding out. Check your wiring at the starter and ignition switch. Check for looseness or bare wires, also check for bare/frayed wires at connections. Some have found bare wires under he tank also. Make sure to disconnect the battery when doing so. Good luck...

Check all connections and check to see if any wires are touching anything bare and going to ground. Any lights on the EHC? Sounds like what my bike did when the EHC fried but you may get lucky.
BTW I have installed a few wire plus kits if you need to have one installed or need info.

Have you tried reseating your EHC connections? I would put dielectric grease on the connections also. Mine was pretty cruddy from moisture intrusion. Worth a try, if that don't help your EHC may be shot.
