Oil leak

I went for a ride today (about 120 miles) when I got home I had oil all down the left side of my bike, I found the cause but I haven't run across it here on the site before, it is coming from the sensor just to the left of the crank sensor. When I returned from the ride I noticed that it had worked its way out of the engine and was spraying oil down the side of the bike, I was able to push it back in but it seems like the rubber is breaking down because when i pushed it in a thin layer of rubber came off. Has anyone else run into this and if they have is there a fix for it?

stator plug.yes there is a fix.use the search.there should be something there.

Hey man, I just went through this and posted here. Maybe this will help. However my leak was real minor. Just a drip after a decent ride. But rather than take the primary cover off to repair, I just put a little bit of clear rtv silicone around it (real neat of course) just in the gap around it. You can't even tell, and it has been great ever since.
