06 K9 has developed an oil leak sitting in the garage. Its right in front of the back tire. Not a bad leak but gotta fix it. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I have had the oil line leak at the oil tank...
or it could poss be the starter "Shaft seal" and dripping out of the starter

check the ends of your shocks as well. that oil will be a grey/dark silvery color.

You're the only one that can diagnose where the leak is coming from. It could be one of several fluids coming from a dozen different places. Anything from a loose primary case, drain plug from primary, rocker boxes leaking, oil line, oil plug, pushrod covers, and the list goes on and on. Wiper 'er down, take it for a short spin and get a good light and go over it to find your leak, then we can give you some ideas on getting it fixed. Good luck.

It's most likely from the bottom of rear cyl. rocker box, a common leak, I had to fix on my 06 K9 last year.

no can repair on bike, you will have enough room didn't have to remove anything not even tank, only thing I had to do was cut down a allen when I was torguing everthing back on.

My 05 chopper plus many other 05 choppers had oil filling up their starters from the primary. Required an improved starter with a seal. Not sure, but that is where the leak was showing right infront of the Rear tire. It drove me nuts until I hunted it down here in the blogs. ebay'd a new starter with seal and no issues since. All this was the result of 04 left side to 05 right side drive conversion requireing BDM to slim down and lower the Starter to Primary location.

That's where DSSC comes from. The first two letters? Dropped Starter
