Pre load washers are gone.

I have the manual for 2005 models. I have the soft tail chopper.
I took my front forks apart and found the two pre load washers are gone.
I have a machine shop here at home so I can make some real quick but I don't know the dimensions.
Are they not necessarily needed. Bought the bike last fall and noticed oil leaking so I'm in the middle of replacing the seals. Thanks. Tim

Surprised nobody answered yet, it's in the manual but they are not there, never have been. The long spacers are already steel and in the tubes cut to length. Springs are the same length in all the bikes spacers are there for length and preload. No need to add anything nor do I think even a small 1/8"-1/4" spacer would make any noticeable difference while riding, especially on a longer front end

If you ever get PVC spacers instead of steel like progressive uses then I would get a steel washer. Just to keep the PVC from cracking.
