I had the same problem with my primary plate after changing the primary oil. Put the plate on and was torqing to Big Dog specs, and the top corner broke. My next inspection cover, Replacement, I didn’t torque as tight as called for in service manual. Snugged it down in the proper order called for in and no corners breaking or any leaks. As far as a reinforced cover or a cover with a grove in it I don’t know of one.

Mine cracked when I serviced the primary last time. I took some JB Weld and filled in the crack on the backside. I went to the auto parts store and bought a sheet of the same type of gasket material and cut out a full gasket, reinstalled, snugged it up and it's been fine ever since. I just saw on Baker's website that they are selling replacement Big Dog inspection covers. Not sure if they are identical to OEM or reinforced.

yes call baker and tell them what window size you have!!! there were a clouple diff sizes i guess and they just made them fit them all instead of haveing different ones

I also broke one the first time I removed it. As said above, the manual torque spec is to high (just use feel).
As to the $127 inspection cover on e-bay: Holly Moses Batman !!!!
I gave around $40 for a new one from the dealer. I've got one with the logo (like e-bay) and one that is just blank. No way on the $127. I'd make something before I'd pay that.
