Well just brought the dog to the shop to get the 5000 service and just got a message to say " your service is pretty much done but there is something broke on it!!!!!" Won't be able to find anything out until thurs since they are closed today. This really sucks because I had 1 yr left on the warranty.

knowing my luck its not something small. Last time the bike was in the shop it was there for 3 weeks because of clutch issues.

The bad thing about it is there are no others around that work on BDM
You could work on your own bike if you have the skills. If not, as someone else mentioned "Why have someone else work on your bike when you can break it yourself!". Really, if you put aside the time, you can fix anything or find a friend that can. Both of these options are better than "Something is broke". I haven't let anyone touch my toys since 1985 when during a routine check up on a truck showed the attention to detail some of these people have. I am not saying that if you go to a reputable dealer like Strokers, etc is a bad idea. You just have to find service people that do excellent work.:D

I posted somewhere about the primary inspection cover thinking BDM up dated this plate. My cover plate finally broke at the top so I ordered a replacement from Baker. The replacement from Baker is identical except no name on the outside cover and thinking the groove would be gone. Well as you see in the lower picture the cover is identical.Baker says to still use the fat gasket because of the unequal surface so I did and the correct inch pound torque. IMO the grooves help the cracks start near the mounting holes.I also think one could replace this phony cast pot metal or aluminum with steel and powder-coat it.Ebay sold BDM name plate for 128.00 this is why I went to Baker for 38.00.
