Should not have to use the enrichment at all. If you do then you carb adjustments are not correct. S&S has a good video on youtube on the basic setup for the super G. Follow their instructions and then you should be able to fine tune the carb to start without using the enricher. Also your bike looks like a ‘04 chopper not ‘05.

:agree: with Mick. 04. Its left side drive. 05 and up were right side drives. Pertty Chop!

If you are having to run your enricher for more then a brief second to fire up then the carb is way out of adjustment. If you are in adjustment a twist or 2 of throttle and will fire up and ready to run.

Is a good video I've used.

I would recommend putting everything completely to stock setting as a start to see where it's at.

Thanks guys.

The title says it's 2005. For the make it says assembled not big dog. For the model it says custom rather than chopper. It only has 4,000 miles on it and it appears to be the factory original. Any ideas on that. Also I got full coverage insurance from progressive. Been a few days later they canceled the comprehensive and would only give me liability because the title is a assembled custom. Any suggestions?

Drop your bowl and clean out your carburetor first. Then go through the adj and your issue will be fixed or at least much better. Replace your plugs so you will be starting fresh. Unlike a choke which restricts air, the enricher supplies more fuel. Consequently the overuse of the enricher floods out the carb and fouls your plugs. As suggested to you by several members Less is better.

Well I went through the S&S basic set up and it didn't seem to help any. It seemed like when adjusting the idle mixture screw when I turned it counterclockwise the RPM went up a little bit but did not stumble no matter how far I turned it counterclockwise. Runs great when it's fully warmed up. It does have an occasional cough at high speed. Pulled the plugs looks like it's running a little lean. Figuring on trying a rebuild kit. Any other thoughts??

I would move the intermediate jet up a size. Everything seems to indicate that it is too small. If you turn the screw out and it doesn't stumble, you need to move up a jet size. A lean engine will take a long time to warm up. You said the plugs look lean. That would make sense. I would try a bigger intermediate jet first before the rebuild.
