A couple of weeks ago I felt my Drive Belt slip while accelerating real hard on my 06 K9. After stopping, I realized the belt was loose...quite loose...which puzzled me because it had previously been fine. This weekend I decided to make the adjustment. When I pulled the axle covers/caps I noticed that the left side of the axle (Looking at rear of bike) wasn't even touching the adjustment screw anymore (3/8 inch gap). The axle had shifted/slid. Also, the brake rotor had severely worn the outside pad almost to nothing. I had replaced them about 4,000 miles ago. Luckily I haven't damaged the Rotor. So, I decided to do a little research on adjustment/alignment and torque values. I came across a thread on axle spacers which included pictures. I had taken pictures of my spacers a couple of years ago prior to replacing my rear tire. When I compared the pictures they were not the same.

3. My Spacers removed.
Now, based on the picture from the Forum, the first spacer should be wider than the second. Mine seem to be the opposite of these. My wide spacer has the lip on it. The Forum picture shows the lip on the narrow spacer.
Question: Did the previous owner of the bike grind down the outer spacer? (Closest to Axle Bolt on left side).
