Rpm gauge not working

I have an 07 k9 with the digital speedometer and rpm gauge. The rpm part of the gauge quit working and the high beam indicator also quit at same time. Any ideas or just need to replace whole speedometer assembly?

The annunciator (tach and indicator lights) are a separate electronic device from the speedo.
Check all your connectors first from battery box under tank and into speedo housing before replacing the annunciator.

Did anything else happen strange -- ie bike stop running at speed then restart ok no problem. Loose batteries wire caused my annunciator to fail when mine went.

If it is a Dakota Digital, perhaps they can be of assistance? You said it was a digital speedo n tach correct? Post up a pic.

Speedo is a Dakota Digital. Tach ring n annunciator are BigDog. As Mike said ck ur connections first. Many an issue has been solved with a good connection. Clean connection @ trans too.

Just reread your original post n saw the high beam indicator went out. Do you still have a high beam or low beam only?

If ya cant find a bad connection, HDM should have a new tach/annunciator ring.

Do you have a print? If it's more than one thing not working I would check the ground wire. Might be able to stick a pin in the wire a run a jumper to ground.

I still have high and low beam. Just no indicator lamp
This is what the Tach Ring looks like from behind. Check it out for a cold solder joint or broken wire.

Got it working. Thanks guys. I think it is a loose connection at the plug inside the tach housing. Wiggled those plugs and it started working...after removing the tank and checking all that stuff first LOL.
