Security ststem install question

Any of you guys ever install an alarm/security system in your pups?
I have a 06 K-9 and was planning on installing a security ststem in it but with all the posts about the ECM and sensitive electrical I am reluctant to mess with it. It looks like a simple install and would have to tap into the ignition and kill switch. Another option would be to wire in only power from the battery to the alarm and use as a simple motion sensor/alarm and not wire in the engine disable function. Any opinions you guys/gals have would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah Mike Gasman has a cure for that disable/EHC conflict.

Personally, I'd save your money for other accessories. But I have this thing about alarm system, I won't digress. Just search if you want other peoples take on the subject.

I put an i900 Scorpio on my K9 when I was newb; I've since ripped that annoying thing off and say screw it - steal that f'r and I'll buy a newer one....
