 on the importance of owning a service manual for your BD.
I was out for a ride this past weekend on a beautiful day and as I was getting close to home, almost dark, I noticed that the tach lights were changing from bright green to a dim green.
Not being the wrenching type but wanting to learn I was freaking out thinking what is my problem? Could it be the battery, EHC, lugging, (not: I was running 2500 rpms) out of gas (that happend last Thursday, read on).
Well after getting home I removed the wrap from my new 'Owners Manual' purchased from BIKERS DREAM OF ATLANTA to do some research.
I then found out that the speedo was trying to determine if it was day or night, (it was close to sunset) :loony: there is a sensor that switches the brightness depending on amount of available light. :bang:
Please don't bash guys, I'm still learning.

p.s. Did you guys know that our BD's have a reserve tank of fuel that you can switch to in times of need. Found that in the owners manual too. I could have use that bit of info last week too. My brain is still in metric mode when I had a low fuel idiot light to depend on. .
