She won't start, need some advice!

Left my key on for two weeks when I was rushing out for a business trip. Came back and of course she was dead. Put it on the charger and tried to start it. At first the fuel pump was priming when I pushed the run button and then it would just click because of the low voltage. So after a few tries I just went out and bought a new battery. This time the fuel pump wouldn't prime when I push the run button and it still clicks. Voltage is good!

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Sometimes it the small things that get you. So here's a start....Make sure you didn't leave out any cables at the battery terminal - also just re-do them, this time make sure you tighten them good and have ALL the cables attached.
Good luck.

Main reset button

If this is it then I will kick my own ars. But, where is this mysterious button located. I haven't looked yet but going directly to it would be easier than hunting.

Thanks again for the help guys.

'07 Bull?, '06 K-9 is located under the seat on the primary side, all alone, just push in, if you feel a "click" (some do, some do"Not" Click) it's tripped, and is now reset.

Can't find the reset button any ideas.

Well I've tore it apart looking for this reset button. Everything seem to be in order, plenty of charge but it just clicks when I hit the start button. The interesting part is that the horn doesn't work either but when I jump the horn it works. So it makes me think there is something wrong with a circuit somewhere. Any other ideas of where the reset button is you were talking about?

Thanks again. Russ!

Even though you have a new battery always doesn't mean it's fully capable of starting the bike. Do you have a voltage meter? You need 12.8 volts to start the bike. Check it and let us know if you have the proper voltage.

His 1st thread said: "went out and bought NEW battery"!

But I do agree with Ray.

Russ, check the voltage.

Have you charged the new battery?

One last try guys! I'm about to take it to the dealer tomorrow. I charged the battery and even bought a top end charger that puts out 75amps for starting. So its not that. Its got to be some sort of circuit or fuse since the fuel pump won't prime and the horn does not work. I replaced the two ignition relays that are next to the battery. So the only thing I can figure is the EFI is jacked up. HELPPPPP! Any Ideas.

Insert title here...
Did you ever find the "reset" button?

If not... directly above the horn there are two circuit breakers side by side. One is for the voltage regulator and the other is for parts of the EFI (supplies power via a relay to the fuel pump, ignition coil, injectors, and O2 sensors). Both breakers should have a small button, most likely on the bottom of each.

Since both your EFI and your horn don't work and both the circuit breaker and the horn are in close proximity you need to pull off the left side cover and make sure there's not some wires broken or burnt...

Plus by pulling the cover both circuit breakers will be staring you right in the face! You can make sure the buttons are in and while you're at it you can make sure the circuit breakers are good!

Disconnect the (+) positive side of the battery for 15 minutes and then reconnect it. This will reset the EHC and give you a baseline to start.

When you reattach the cables to the positive terminal, start by placing the heaviest cable next to the battery terminal then the next largest and so on.

I don't think the 07 Bulldog has resttable circuit breakers. Never looked close enough I guess.

Good luck!
