Hey guys, the other day I was doing some maint. on the bike, had the dash off to locktite the gas tank bolts,b4 I put it back together,I made sure all the connections were good, turned the key on,speedo cycled, odo read fine, but there were no speedo lights,I've checked connections, tested lines, and all seems good,my question is can the bulbs burn out,and if so can they be changed, also when I turned the key on I did not see any lights light up on my EHC,was i supposed to or is that only if there is a prob.they light up?

PS I did a search on this and found only one similar prob.with a vague ans.Thanx for any input:cheers:

Don't know much about the set up on the 02's but could it be possible that you need to have the speedo bolted in (grounded) for the lights to come on. Just a thought.

Good luck

Well, through lack of knowledge and patience I found out the hard way that at least on 02's how to change blown speedo lights,it's actually pretty easy, there are two bulbs in there so if your speedo looks dim,one may be blown,it takes replacement bulb#194/sylvania(got mine at my local auto parts store) $ 3.99 just saved me about $200,cause I'm sure at the shop I would have needed a new board of some sort………Later,Larry
