Happy 4th! My problem with the speedometer is when I am around 60+ mph, it will read I am actually going 70 to 75 mph. I have been on the interstate and was really moving but the needle pinned: I have seen little tiny cars going past me like I am sitting still so I know it’s off. When I come to a stop the needle will to reset to zero (0). Does anyone have any ideas one what’s up? I have a 2004 BGM Chopper with 5000 miles on the ticker. It is the combo with analog speedometer and digital tachometer around the outside face. Could it be a bad cable, bad speedometer, or bad something? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

My 06 ridgeback was similar. it was a bad speedo in general. Didn't work right, then just stopped one day. So I just replaced w/Dakota Digital and been good since. Not sayint thats ur problem, but sounds real similar(i had 5k on mine when it went out too!)

I tried calibrating my speedo and even though it works it was still off. I kept it but bought a Dakota Digital which was right on and had more features. I am very happy with it. Buy it from Mad Dog.
