Starter issues, bolt with locking washer

Ok had my starter out tonight, after forgetting the connecting collar between the starter and jackshaft i broke the little locking tab off the washer. So i need a new locking washer, is this something i can get from a harley shop?
also mine is the style in the pic i posted, but mine has 3 washers in it where all the pics im finding show 2?
why would the starter work with the smack button but not the handlebar button? When i bench test it the shaft pops out but doesnt rotate with the handlebar button but the smack button works fine.

You should be able to pick that lock washer from your local Hardley furgason dealer ,( if their parts man is worth a darn) I needed that same washer and went to the local Harley dealer. The idiot there wanted to know the year, model, engine, and almost what color. Told him to forget it and left. Went to a small shop, where I should have started, and told the fella there what I needed. He walked over to his parts drawers and said "Here ya go, on the house" !I guess that washer is used on about a bazillion Harley bikes so the guy at the dealer should have known what it is. As for the handlebar switch, pull the end cap off the solenoid and check the condition of the contacts, You probably should disconnect the battery cable first, but look for a lot of pitting and arced spots .

The parts are for a 93 softtail, if your bolt is a 1/4-20. If your bolt is a 10-32 its from a 94 softtail.

Ok thats what most of the pics i found show, for whatever reason mine had 3. The locking washer, a flat one with a notch that has a seal around where the bolt goes then what im finding is a thrust washer?

I dont know if its correct or not though. Ive been fixing alot of odd stuff.
Thanks, one of these days i will get to ride it! Haha i put about 8 miles on it then the starter acted up. I plan to put some 12 or 14” ape hangers in it, a mid sized sissy bar of some type and some forward extensions yet.

Your forward controls look like Harley controls. Which is basically what they used when your bike was built. You can find 3” extensions at Dennis Kirk. That should bolt right on
